Nearby Games apps (Nearby Chess, Nearby Backgammon) do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All gameplay is strictly peer-to-peer over Bluetooth between nearby devices. No internet connection is required or used.
Nearby Games apps ("the Apps") — Nearby Chess and Nearby Backgammon — connect devices locally using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for two-player gameplay. There are no user accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no data of any kind is sent off your device.
We do not collect any personal information, including but not limited to:
The App requests access to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) solely to discover and connect with another nearby device running the same App. Bluetooth is used exclusively for:
No Bluetooth data is stored beyond the active game session. No data is forwarded to any third party or external server. The Bluetooth connection is terminated when the game ends or the App is closed.
The App does not persist any data between sessions. No files are written to your device beyond what the operating system requires to run the application (e.g., app binary and assets).
The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud services. There are no in-app purchases and no network requests of any kind.
The App does not collect any personal data from any user, including children under the age of 13. It is safe for use by children.
If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Since no personal data is collected, any changes are unlikely to affect your privacy.
